Isaac Slutzky is a songwriter living Nashville. He recently relocated from Manhattan, where he worked as a keyboardist, musical director, composer, and instructor. He graduated with honors from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
Recent credits include musical director for the Philadelphia Polyphone Festival’s presentation of The Total Bent, the New York Live Arts’ presentation of Notes of a Native Song, sound designer for the New York International Fringe Festival’s presentation of Land of Broken Toys; and composer for the film "D.i.g.i.t.a.l High".
Classically trained on piano since the age of 4, Isaac is a cross-genre multi-instrumentalist who has had the privilege of studying with Dr. Roland Wiggins, Jimmy Owens, Michael Wolff, Sonny Bravo, Bob Hallahan, and Francesca Tanksley.
Isaac has toured internationally with the James Madison University’s Jazz Ensemble, including performances at the Montreaux Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, and North Sea Jazz Festival. He has played keyboards for bands including Postmodern Family, Sweetbriar Band, Elephant Minor, Eli Cook, and American Idol contestant Drew Angus during their East coast tours. He has shared the stage with legends such as Rock and Roll Hall of Fame drummer Artimus Pyle of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tony Award winning Stew, and Grammy nominated Bobby Sanabria.
His song 'Heartbroken Song' was selected as the winner of the 2016 International Songwriting Competition love song catagory. Isaac is an active member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
